Reconnect – Providing Support and Opportunities for Young People and their Families.

Reconnect, an Australia-wide organisation, is a support service providing both telephone and face-to-face assistance to young people between the ages of 12 and 18 who are having difficulties in their life.  Staff work with these young people, their parents/guardians and families through individual and/or family counselling, mediation, information, education, advocacy and referral.  It is a free and confidential service.

Reconnect can help young people to:

Talk about hassles at home, school or work Work things out with their family and friends Link into training or employment options Get income support if eligible Find somewhere safe to stay (if needed) Reconnect can help parents, guardians and families to: Work things out with the young person Find out the best way to talk things through Learn to live together when things are hard Learn to live apart but stay connected

Reconnect is funded by the Federal Department of Family and Community Services.
